Guess what guys!!! Abbey's going to prom!!! With a future aeroengineer!!!! YAAAY!!!!
So I walked into Jazz Band last week, and there, sitting on the piano, was an adorably fuzzy teddy bear with a sign on him that said, "Abbey, I would be beary happy if you'd go to prom with me! --Alex Pierson" So then my Jazz Band proceeded to laugh raucously at me and my face turned very pink, but I carried around the teddy bear (named Harold, in case you were wondering. Which you probably weren't. Seeing as I'm pretty sure nobody actually reads this anymore.) all day and discovered it is altogether impossible to have a bad day when you have something fluffy to hug. I was super mean to him, though, because he's in my AP Calc class, which is right after Jazz Band, and he asked, "So, are you gonna answer me, or are you just gonna keep the bear?"
To which I responded, "You'll find out."
Mean. But funny. Then, a couple days later, I got together a huge bag of Cap'n Berry Crunch (he's a teenage boy, therefore he completely adores all sorts of food, especially the cereal variety) and spelled out on a big poster, "Alex, I would be BERRY happy to go to prom with you!" With a bag of the cereal and some gummy bears.
Anywho, prom's on Saturday, and I'm super excited. I don't have a crush on Alex or anything, but we're good friends (we just barely spent a good hour in Calculus quoting Disney movies. How could you not be good friends with a kid like that?) and it's gonna be way fun.
I'll post some pictures of Harold and my answer a bit later. And of Alex. And of prom, and how it ends up going. YAY!!!
