Home Again

Well, I'm back now. I had a fabulous trip to South Carolina, visiting one of the best beaches in the country, getting tanner, partying, stuff like that! It was so nice getting to experience a different culture and explore some old history, I should do it more often.

Traveling has always been something I love to do, now I just love it even more!

By the way Utahans, I'm absolutely DYING for some juicy gossip to gnaw on! Especially about those I know. Got any for me? I would be much obliged.

Trek Walk/Swimming/Death

I am currently dead.  Just so you all know.  This is a ghost writing this.

Now then.  On Saturday, my youth group set out on our Qualifying Walk for Trek.  It wasn't so bad.  Our legs went numb after the first five miles.  Now, five miles is not actually all that much.  But it feels like a lot when you're out in the middle of the desert with the sun hammering down on your neck, the water gone from your bottle, and you have to go up and down numerous hills.  What's wierd is that the last five miles was way easier than the first ones.  My friend Makelle and I jogged down the hills at first because it felt easier.  Then we started jogging up them.  All was fine and dandy.

UNTIL I GOT HOME!!!!!  The whole ten miles (it was actually technically only about nine) caught up with my legs.  Owie.  Not fun.  But an episode of Wordgirl and the Gilmore Girls made me feel considerable better.

Today I went to the Lehi Legacy Center with my friend Mary Djurich (pronounced JUR-ITCH) and GUESS WHO WE RAN INTO IN THE LOCKER ROOM?!?!?!?  Whitney Bullock!  Wierd, eh?  Does anybody know where she lives?  Anyway, 'twas quite fun.

Horse Riding

Abbey and I went horse back riding today! We got to brush and groom them, put on tack, and ride!!!! We both agree that we belong with the horses. It was sooo much fun, and afterward we got to feed them peppermints!! It was an awesome-possum day! I love horses!!!!!!

South Carolina!

Well, it's finally time-I'm going to South Carolina! It's going to be over 90 degrees every day there, we're less than one hundred yards away from the beach and I get to go shopping! I'll be gone the 3rd through the 23rd, almost all of June.

This will be the first time that I've ever been on a plane, it should be fun. Except for the fact that we have to be at the airport by 4:30 and security is quite the experience I've heard. Our entire flight will be eight hours long... Not including the plane change in Dallas. I'm sure by the time we get to West Columbia we will all be very tired and ready for a nap.

I can't wait to taste how different the food is there, the whole south is like a different culture. We'll be staying at Myrtle Beach for most of the time, so close to the ocean. Later on we're going to head to some of the biggest theme parks in the world in neighboring states!

Wish me luck, I'll be back some day! Hopefully with an even tan!

Summer List

I have an assortment of things I am planning on doing over the summer, most of which involve taking over the world.

Here is my list, in order of most important to least important:

1) Write about ten gazillion songs for guitar and about five gazillion songs for piano.

2) Ignore the fact that all of my close friends live in Outer Darkness. (Don't ask)

3) Not die. (If you didn't know, this is referring to Trek)

4) Earn about 400 bucks, with which I will buy the moon.

5) Enjoy being 15, in which you have to watch all the >16 year olds have fun while you sit and twiddle your thumbs.

6) Memorize the book of Alma.

7) Make one new friend. Preferably a leprechaun. No experience required.

8) Organize a band of minions with which to storm the white house.

9) Read the Fablehaven books (yes, I know. It's a shocker.)

10) Give Matthew a successful piggy back ride.

11) Eat dirt.

12) Clean my room.

All of these, I have decided, are perfectly acheivable and will be carried out.

All except the last one.
(For those of you who don't know, this is not at all true.  I can hardly function in a messy room and most of the time, it is clean)
